It's strange that just a few weeks ago, I remembered you stopping @ Tang and leaving your vehicle unlocked in order to take a bathroom break. At the time, I simply thought the worst that could happen was some MIT student play a prank on you for leaving your vehicle. I never imagined this. I didn't get to know you, but I admire your trust in our community. Unfortunately, someone decided to play upon that trust.

I hope you are at peace, hiking the mountains of the world. :)

To the Family and Friends of Officer Collier,

Know the MIT Family is sending you love and prayers from all over the US and world. Officer Collier has given us a reason to be proud and shed tears, to remember and listen and pray, to wait for grace and to be thankful for everything we have today. Not least, our safety and each other.

I hope in some small way our love and prayers coming your way will help you feel God's comfort in this trying time.

Much Love from Singapore.

I offer my condolences for Sean's tragic and shocking death and thank him and the MIT Police for keeping the campus safe. I appreciated the support 25 years ago when I was a student, and hail your bravery now as an alumna.

I hope that you find some comfort in the knowledge that so many of us, all over the world are remembering your Sean.

Here in London we paused yesterday to pay our respects to the memory of those lost, and in solidarity with the survivors. I thought of the young man, and his brothers and sisters who serve and protect us all. I am very sorry for your loss.

3000 miles and almost 30 years away from the Institute, my feelings at the loss of Officer Collier have reminded me that my membership in the MIT community is unbreakable. My thoughts and prayers go to his family, friends and everyone in the community who have been touched, as I was, by his tragic death.
