My sympathy to Sean's family, friends, colleagues. It is a huge loss and I thank Sean for his sacrificing his life so that we can be safe. It was his loss that lead to these death and capture of the marathon bombers. Amazing till the very end, RIP Sean.

I wish to extend my deepest sympathies to the family, friends and fellow officers of MIT Police Officer Sean Collier and the entire MIT community. I am truly sorry for your loss and pray for all of you. Losing an officer in the line of duty can never be easy nor will Sean be forgotten, but I also know that he exemplified the meaning of a great campus police officer - an officer who strove to interact with his University community in a positive way while still serving and protecting everyone. Please also accept the sympathies of my fellow officers at Northwestern University Police Department.

I am truly saddened by this young officer's untimely departure. My prayer is that the God of all comfort will be with his family during this difficult time. He left this world as an emblem of justice and courage in the face of grave cowardice and evil. It is right to remember such men.

Officer Collier will be missed...God only knows the great things he would have done had he not been taken from a world that so deperately needs such loving angels. Heaven is a brighter place now that Sean is there. No doubt, the beauty of his heart and soul will shine on forever. May he rest in peace, safetly, and embraced by the love and the light.

Although I didn't know Officer Sean Collins personally, I wish I had met him; he seems like a great guy and a friend to everyone he did meet. Officer Collins and his colleagues do a wonderful job of keeping the campus safe for all of us, staff, faculty, & students--thank you. As a member of the MIT community, I grieve that he is lost to us.

Although we never met, our paths never crossed.... I feel as though I knew you. The descriptions by those who did bring you to life in my mind....
I wish you could have lived the long life that you deserved to live. Your impact was greater than most who had this opportunity.... your friends and family keep your spirit alive.. and for those of us who didnt have the opportunity to meet you it was our loss.. Our prayers are with you and your loved onones.....bless you....

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I do not take it lightly that the MIT police get up every morning and evening and put their life on the line for the students, faculty, and staff of the Institute. They were there for me for all 4 of my years on campus, day and night, and I will never forget their service to me, just another student, but important enough to respond to every call for my safety. Thank you Sean and thank you to the entire force for what you do!
