Sean this was written for you - always happy and positive, always supportive and out and about:

Sei meines Mordes Klag erhoben!"
Er ruft es, und sein Auge bricht.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Officer Collier and to Chief Difava and the officers of the MIT police force.

As an MIT alum, I had the pleasure of being in MIT EMS as well as in the greek community, and my all my interactions and work with the MIT police demonstrated to me what the model of the "community" policing was. This was a senseless tragedy, and I hope everyone at MIT and Boston and farther abroad recognize the sacrifice Officer Collier made.

I propose that a fitting memorial to Officer Sean Collier would be to name one of the dormitories in his honor.

Officer Collier's sacrifice for us cannot be measured. His bequest, as it were, to the Institute is infinitely more precious than the mere finanical contributions of those whose names adorn our halls.

Sean Collier's name deserves to be remembered for generations, to become an indelible part of the fabric of our community.

Surely we can dedicate one of New House, Next House, or my own former residence, Random Hall, as Officer Sean Collier Memorial Hall, and ensure his everlasting place in the minds and hearts of those of us who have called the Institute home.

May his memory endure for a blessing.

As a parent of an MIT student, I just wanted to say to the Collier family how deeply sorry I am for the loss of Sean. His service to our MIT students will not be forgotten; we are indebted to him for keeping our kids safe. May God comfort you with His mercy and grace at this most difficult time.

I didn't know Officer Collier personally, but staring at his picture I feel that I do... I see warmth and friendship in his eyes, somebody who would offer to help before you ask - qualities of character, leadership and making a difference. To his parents, these are my emotions from a picture, then I cannot even attempt to comprehend the greatness of the people who raised him to be the young man he is, how proud and how sad you must be. He leaves a whole that one can never fill, but also a memory that will never be forgotten. P.S. Sean, my name is Quintin, please to meet you!
